Information

Outline of the standard:

The VertiGo guardrail conforms to the requirements of European standard EN ISO 14122-3. Art. 8.2 of August 2001 concerning permanent guardrails.

VertiGo also meets the requirements of the new rules described in European directive 2001/45/CE of 27 June 2001, concerning the supply and use of protection equipment for temporary work at a height, calling for a protection system to be used as soon as there is a risk of fall from a height exceeding 500 mm.

The entire system is manufactured under ISO 9000 quality control in agreement with the industrial standards.

Standard tests:

Conformity to standard EN ISO 14122-3 (static tests) :

The guardrail must be capable of taking a load of 450 N (i.e. 300N/m X 1.5m, the maximum distance between two uprights), applied successively to the top of an upright then to the middle of the guardrail, for one minute.
The maximum observed deformation, for both tests, must be less than 30 mm and there should be no significant remaining deformation visible after the load is removed.

Note : VertiGo is a permanent collective protection system intended exclusively as a way of making safe technical terrace roofs or platforms (not open to the public).
